Duties DescriptionFor a three-month period, over the summer session, Summer Teachers will:Instruct a course(s) recognized by the New York State EducationDepartment.Prepare or modify curriculum and course outlines.Prepare daily or weekly lesson plans and conduct a schedule of formal instruction for residents of an Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) facility.Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.Minimum QualificationsRequirements for Appointment at Each Level:For Teacher 2: New York State provisional/initial/conditional initial certification in the appropriate specialty**.For Teacher 3: New York State permanent/professional certification in the appropriate specialty**.For Teacher 4: New York State permanent/professional certification in the appropriate specialty and two years of post-certification (provisional/initial/conditional initial or permanent/professional) teaching experience in the appropriate specialty**.Vacancy ID186152
