· Academic skills support and career pathways· Career and college readiness preparation· Working knowledge of master schedule development and course requests· Assist students in post-secondary planning such as college applications, scholarships and resume preparation· Foster positive parent involvement· Works closely with component district counseling departments· Reviews each student's educational progress and career plans with each student individually· Provides individual or group counseling assistance· Assists students with attendance, academic, behavioral or adjustment problems, provide additional one on one counseling as needed· Collects and reviews pertinent data for local and state reporting· Coordinates tours, speakers, college visits, site visits· Performs all other related duties as assigned by the CTE PrincipalQUALIFICATIONS: NYS Certification as a School Counselor
