Our goal is to provide tailored instruction that enables each student to thrive academically and socially.Job Summary:The Elementary Special Education Teacher will be responsible for providing specialized instruction to students with disabilities, ensuring that they meet their individualized education goals (IEPs) while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with elementary-aged students and a passion for supporting the academic and emotional growth of students with special needs.Responsibilities:Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with a variety of learning disabilities.Provide direct instruction to students in both small group and one-on-one settings.Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other staff members to support student development.Modify and adapt curriculum and materials to meet the needs of students.Conduct assessments to track student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.Monitor and document student behavior, academic growth, and progress toward IEP goals.Support students with behavioral and emotional needs, creating a nurturing and supportive classroom atmosphere.Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.Implement classroom strategies to promote positive behavior and conflict resolution.Stay up to date with best practices in special education and participate in professional development opportunities.The district will be performing rolling interviews until the position is filled.
