Substitute Teacher per diem - Fayetteville-Manlius School District Requirements Bachelor’s degree – minimum requirement for substitute teachers. Certification is not required for subbing. Pay Rate The daily substitute teacher rate is $150 per day. Retired teachers and those teacher substitutes who have worked for the district for five (5) consecutive years or more will be paid $165 per day. After a daily substitute teacher has completed “25” days of substitute teaching in a given school year, a loyalty stipend of $20 will be added to the daily substitute teacher rate for the remainder of that school year. Fingerprint supported criminal history background check and clearance from New York State Department of Education is required, if not already completed through another district.
