ANNOUNCEMENT OF PROFESSIONAL OPENING Chief Technology and Innovation Officer Anticipated Start DateJuly 1, 2025 Required Qualifications SDL or SAS Certification Experience as a K-12 Director of Technology (or similar technology leadership role) A minimum of five years of successful teaching experience Key Responsibilities and Preferred Skills Partner with the central office leadership team as part of the Superintendent’s Cabinet to set district goals, objectives, and methods of operation Ability to build authentic and deep relationships with staff members, parents, and students Leadership capacity to negotiate and enter into contracts with technology and other subscription providers Collaborate with curriculum directors on the delivery of technology-infused instructional practices Provide leadership and oversight of state reporting processes to ensure data accuracy in Infinite Campus Authority to establish and develop goals for the District’s Instructional Technology Plan Create, recommend, and provide leadership of policies and procedures to strengthen the District’s cybersecurity posture Create policies and procedures to establish and meet digital equity goals Develop policies, procedures, and operations concerning the monitoring of staff member and student use of computers Serve as the District’s Data Protection Officer and create policies and procedures to secure student data privacy Create policies and procedures to ensure educational integrity while preparing students to leverage AI Strong understanding of the K-12 Computer Science and Digital Fluency standards Ability to lead and construct a K-12 coding program using kidOYO Foster a culture of innovation and risk-taking while cultivating teacher leadership Creative systems thinker who seeks innovative ways to enhance district projects Experience in creating and leading professional development opportunities for staff members Demonstrated commitment to learning and establishing a strong professional learning network Experience leading and developing instructional technology initiatives Experience with all aspects of Google Workspace Coordination of software and hardware maintenance and management Knowledge of student and district management systems Long-term and short-term technology budget development Experience leveraging social media to participate in networked intelligence as well as to share our students’ stories Please apply, including a job-specific cover letter and resume, on OLAS by Friday, April 18th.
