District Treasurer Needed - District Office. 12-month, full-time position. Available immediately. The East Syracuse Minoa CSD is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join our Business Office team as the District Treasurer. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the receipt, custody, investment, and disbursement of all district funds in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and district policies. Responsibilities: Serve as custodian of all district funds, including general, capital, school lunch, federal, and trust and agency funds. Monitor cash flow and coordinate short-term investments to ensure adequate funds are available for district obligations. Maintain accurate records of all receipts and disbursements. Reconcile bank statements monthly and resolve discrepancies. Prepare financial reports for the Board of Education, auditors, and district administration. Collaborate with Business Office staff on payroll, accounts payable, and other financial operations. Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Assist in the annual audit, support budget preparation and year-end closeout. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Two years of experience in accounting, finance, or public sector fiscal management preferred. Strong knowledge of financial software systems and Microsoft Excel. Ability to interpret and apply financial regulations and procedures. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. High level of integrity and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a public school district or municipal environment. Familiarity with New York State school finance regulations and reporting requirements. Working knowledge of accounting software such as nVision (Finance Manager). Salary & Benefits: Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
