Assistant School Business Official Needed - District Office. Civil Service/Provisional. 12-month position. Available 7/1/2025. Job Description: The Assistant School Business Official supports the Executive Director of School Business Administration in managing the district's financial and operational functions. Responsibilities include assisting with budget development and oversight, financial analysis and reporting, payroll and benefits administration, capital and grant accounting, contract management, and district purchasing. The role also includes staff supervision, policy implementation, and serving as Deputy Treasurer and Deputy Clerk to the Board of Education. Minimum Qualifications: Education - Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or public administration, finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Experience - 3-5 years of experience in school district financial management, accounting, or business operations (e.g., Accountant I/II, School District Treasurer). Supervisory experience is preferred. A civil service test will need to be taken once it becomes available.
