Deputy Superintendent Needed - District Office. Description: The Deputy Superintendent is an educational leader who promotes a high-quality education for the well-being and success of each student and all students by supporting the development, articulation, implementation and stewardship of the District’s shared-vision, mission and beliefs, shared and supported by the community. The Deputy Superintendent serves as the Superintendent’s designee in her absence.The Deputy Superintendent provides leadership in planning, development, implementation, monitoring, evaluating and updating of District Plans.The Deputy Superintendent supervises and evaluates all Principals, Director of Athletics, Director of Counseling, Youth Development and Leadership and the Director of Special Education.Oversees District and building safety and security.Facilitates intergovernmental relations.Possesses excellent interpersonal skills in the areas of collaboration, team participation, creative problem-solving, conflict resolution, group planning, and decision-making processes.Demonstrates excellent organizational, prioritization, timeliness and adaptation skills, verbal and written communication skills, and human relations skills.Demonstrates knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies governing the use of and accountability of public funds.Qualifications:New York State Certification as School District Administrator (SDA)Doctorate in Education (preferred)Experience of a minimum of ten years as an administrator at the District/Building levelPosition is available 7/3/2023.
