POSITION: Administrative Coordinator for Adult Career and Technical Education - FT ESBOCES is looking for an educational leader who values diversity, equity and inclusion, and who has experience navigating multiple constituents, agencies and audiences to run successful programming in support of adult learners. This position reports to the Program Administrator for Adult Career and Technical Education, and serves as a leader within the department, agency and the region to promote the development of adult education and technical programming that align with industry standard, support lifelong learning, and ensure customer satisfaction. SITES: Adult Education Center (Sayville), Bixhorn Technical Center (Bellport), Milliken Technical Center (Oakdale), Ward Technical Center* (Riverhead) QUALIFICATIONS: NYS SDA/SDL CertificationCareer and Technical Education experience (preferred)Ability to create a welcoming and affirming learning environment for all stakeholdersComputer proficiency in Microsoft Suite (including WORD, EXCEL and PowerPoint)Strong communication and problem-solving skillsDemonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment RESPONSIBILITIES:This position supports teachers and students in programs that run from 8:00 am – 10:00 pm Monday – Thursday. The successful candidate will flex their schedule to support day and evening programs when they are in sessionAssist in the development and expansion of new programs and courses related to immediate and future workforce needsSeek and apply for training grants and fundingTake proactive approach to organize, coordinate, and track multiple initiativesActively recruit a diverse student and staff clientele to increase enrollment and broaden servicesProvide orientation of personnel on operational procedures and program procedures; including attendance, student follow-up data, and requisition of instructional materialsProvide support and direct program staff and administrators to perform responsibilities related to the supervision of teachers, labor specialist, vocational advisors, and office personnelVisit all locations before classes are established to ensure conditions are conducive for scheduled classesContinually engage with myriad professional and self-improvement practicesEstablish partnerships to improve student outcomesActively promote diversity, equity, and inclusion practices throughout the agencyExpand relationships with local businesses and community organizationsCoordinates recruitment events, networking, and career fairsManage multiple work streams, deadlines, and projects simultaneouslyAssist in collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to illustrate student success and program impact; serve as a data drive thought leaderServe on a collaborative leadership team that innovates and evolves programming START DATE: July 1, 2024 SALARY: $132,805.00
