This position is being advertised for Rhame Avenue Elementary School. About East Rockaway UFSD The East Rockaway School District is located in Nassau County, NY. The district is seeking a motivated individual who meets the following qualifications: New York State Teacher Certification: Students With Disabilities 1-6 Certificate (Initial, Professional) or equivalent. Additional certification or content area extensions preferred. Experience: We welcome applications from individuals at all levels of experience. The ideal candidate will also possess the following qualities: Creative, innovative individual with strong communication and organizational skills Experience working in a self-contained, special education classroom setting Experience working with children with Autism Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis Knowledge of IEPs and delivering targeted instruction to help meet student goals Strong classroom and behavior management experience and techniques Familiarity with Infinite Campus and Frontline preferred The East Rockaway School District offers a competitive salary and benefits package, which is established in the East Rockaway Teacher’s Association Contract for the 2026-27 school year.
