Position Title: Interim Assistant Superintendent for Business Location: East Ramapo Central School District Appointment Period: July 1, 2026 – August 15, 2026 Position Overview The East Ramapo Central School District is seeking a highly qualified educational leader to serve as Interim Assistant Superintendent for Business during a temporary transition period. The successful candidate will provide leadership and oversight of the District's business operations, ensuring the continued effective management of financial, operational, and administrative functions. Responsibilities The Interim Assistant Superintendent for Business will: Provide oversight of the District's fiscal operations, including budgeting, accounting, purchasing, payroll, and financial reporting. Assist in the monitoring of the District budget. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and reporting requirements. Supervise business office personnel and coordinate business services across departments. Collaborate with the Superintendent, Board of Education, and District administrators on financial and operational matters. Oversee contracts, bids, procurement activities, and related business functions. Provide recommendations and support regarding financial planning and operational efficiencies. Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools. Qualifications New York State School District Business Leader (SDBL) Certification preferred. Successful experience in school district business administration. Demonstrated knowledge of school finance, budgeting, accounting, purchasing, payroll, and applicable laws and regulations. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Experience working collaboratively with district administrators, staff, and community stakeholders. Compensation Salary and terms of employment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and determined by the Board of Education.
