Qualifications of applicants:Minimum of 5 years teaching experienceMinimum of 2 years administrative experienceValid NYS Building certificate required (SBL)Spanish speaking preferred Duties of the position: Administrative and Supervisory ResponsibilitiesSupporting the Principal: Assisting the principal in the overall administration of the school, including implementing school policies, procedures, and guidelines. Provides leadership in the improvement of instruction, organization, and operation of the school program under the supervision of the school Principal and written in the School Comprehensive Education Plan.Staff Supervision: Observing, evaluating, and providing feedback to teachers and staff. Helping to develop professional development programs.Student Discipline: Managing student behavior and discipline. Implementing and enforcing school rules and policies.Safety and Security: Overseeing the safety and security of students and staff. Developing and implementing emergency procedures.Scheduling: Assisting with creating and managing the school schedule, including class schedules, special events, and extracurricular activities.Resource Management: Helping to manage school resources, including supplies, equipment, and facilities. Educational LeadershipCurriculum Development: Assisting in the development and implementation of curriculum and instructional programs. Ensuring that the curriculum meets state and federal standards. Actively works on District initiatives developed by the Office of Curriculum and InstructionData Analysis: Analyzing student performance data to identify areas for improvement and to develop strategies to address these areas.Teacher Support: Providing support and resources to teachers to enhance instructional practices. Encouraging the use of effective teaching strategies and techniques. Student and Parent EngagementCommunication: Serving as a liaison between the school and parents. Communicating effectively with parents about school policies, student performance, and other relevant issues.Student Support: Addressing student needs and concerns. Providing guidance and support to help students succeed academically and socially. Professional DevelopmentContinual Learning: Staying updated with the latest educational trends, research, and best practices. Participating in professional development opportunities.Mentoring: Mentoring new teachers and staff.
