Position Description:The Board of Education of the East Ramapo Central School District is seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Interim Superintendent of Schools. The ideal candidate will have experience as an accomplished Superintendent of Schools with proven success in leading large, diverse school districts. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, competency in curriculum and instruction including Bilingual and ESL programing, and business operations. The District seeks an individual who is skilled in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with members of the Board of Education, community organizations, district employees, and union leadership. The East Ramapo Central School District, located in Rockland County, New York, is an urban/suburban school district that serves over 37,000 students from 47 countries and various socio-economic backgrounds. The District serves students in the Towns of Ramapo, Clarkstown and Haverstraw.Salary:The salary range is regionally competitive. Qualifications:Candidates must possess or be eligible for the New York State School District Administrator (SDA) or New York State School District Leader (SDL) certification.
