Duties include but are not limited to:Provide supervision and ensure district-wide compliance with all Special Education and Section 504 Federal and State mandates.Review, evaluate and make recommendations for K-12 Special Education therapeutic programs and support to ensure effectiveness and best-practice implementationAssist ASI and Director with the completion of state reporting including PD & VR reports. Collaborate with ASI and Director to resolve special education issues and disputes.Collaborate with Assistant Superintendents, Principals, Directors, Faculty and Staff to enhance Special Education programs, therapies, and services.Conduct formal and informal observations of Special Education therapists.Collaborate with purchasing department to ensure clear RFP BIDs for possible contracted services. Manage the efficient scheduling of related services to support IEP mandates districtwideServe as a Chairperson of the CSE, CPSE and 504 meetings.Responsible for n-take and organizing CSE meetings and referrals for Evaluations (Initials and Reevaluations)Collaborate in the creation and delivery of professional development opportunities in Special Education in compliance with Federal and State requirements. Conduct and Facilitate team meetings for all therapists and staff. Participate in the interview & hiring process for Special Education staff members. Utilize data to analyze, interpret and plan for anticipated increase or decrease of therapist . Supervise all Sub-CSE Chairs and building level 504 Chairs.Responsible for the administration of the STAC process and collaboration with the business department to secure claims.Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent for Student Support Services.Requirements include, but are not limited to:SDL CertificationBilingual preferredExperience using IEP direct
