Join us at Easterseals NY for an exciting career as an Occupational Therapist. *Hiring in multiple locations*What You'll DoAs an occupational therapist you will work as a member of a team including teachers, speech/language pathologists, physical therapists and counselorsYour Responsibilities Will Include:Develop IEPs with other team members and families when necessary.Maintain professional standards, and current skills in therapy techniques.Provide occupational therapy services for children.Write session notes, progress notes and reports.Aid in maintaining equipment and workspace.Attend staff meetings, case conferences, and other meetings as assigned.Assist in staff development and training.You're a great fit for this role if you have:Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in the field of Occupational Therapy from a recognized college or university approved by AOTA OR certificate as an occupational therapy assistantCurrent license in the state of New YorkThree years’ experience working with children as a therapist is preferredCompensation$60,000-85,000 (depending on credentials and experience) for occupational therapists, COTAs have a different salary scaleWho We AreEasterseals is a standard-bearer for creating equity and access for people with disabilities and other barriers to long term self-sufficiency.
