The East Meadow School District is seeking candidates who possess New York State certification in Music Education for an anticipated Secondary Choral and Classroom Music position. Candidates with piano proficiency and experience in vocal pedagogy, choral ensembles, musical theatre and special education are preferred.Candidate must demonstrate exceptional musical and instructional skills in both choral settings at the secondary level and general music instruction at the elementary level. Strong conducting, vocal modeling, classroom management, and music literacy instruction skills are essential. Experience in musical theatre production and direction is highly valued, as the candidate may be involved in supporting school musicals or related performance opportunities. Experience working with students with special needs is also preferred. The candidate should also be committed to participating in departmental, building, and district-wide collaborations, concerts, and events, as well as creating enriching performance and learning experiences for all students.Qualified candidates can submit their resume, letter of interest, and proof of certification through OLAS.
