The East Meadow School District is seeking a full-time Secondary Special Education Teacher.All candidates should possess Wilson Reading System certification along with Students with Disabilities 1-6/Students with Disabilities- Generalist 7-12 or Students with Disabilities (All Grades).Provide specialized reading instruction to students at the secondary level per IEP goalsUtilize evidence-based reading interventions and strategies, including Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading SystemKnowledge of reading assessments and IEP progress monitoringCollaborate with classroom teachers and families to develop appropriate goals to address specific learning needsQualified candidates can submit their resume, letter of interest and proof of certification through OLAS.*Position is contingent upon passage of the school budget.
