The East Meadow School District is seeking candidates who possess New York State certification in Music Education for an anticipated elementary band position in a vibrant community. Candidates with proficiency in one or more wind, brass, string, and percussion instruments. Experience teaching elementary band and orchestra preferred: responsibilities include but are not limited to expertise in ensemble rehearsal, small group lessons and jazz band. Candidates must demonstrate strong conducting skills, exceptional musicianship as well as be willing to participate in departmental, building, and district-wide collaborations. Candidates maintain excellent communication skills, and ability to work with students, parents, and colleagues. Qualified candidates can submit their resume, letter of interest and proof of certification through OLAS.
