The East Meadow School District is seeking an Athletic Trainer. The Athletic Trainer will be expected to attend home athletic contests and practices as scheduled, evaluate injuries, provide first aid to athletes, and coordinate the return to play process. Work hours will be Monday through Friday starting at 2:30 pm. The end time will be determined by the Director of Physical Education, Health and Athletics and game/practice schedules. Weekend work will also be determined by game/practice schedules. The Athletic Trainer will report to the Director of Physical Education, Health and Athletics as well as the Building Athletic Directors. Candidates must possess a bachelor's or higher degree from a program accredited by the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP), or the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). They must have valid CPR and First Aid certifications. Candidates can send their letter of interest, resume and credentials through OLAS.
