Job Description: The STEAM Teacher will lead engaging, project-based instruction designed to cultivate students’ curiosity and competence in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. Through a hands-on curriculum, students will build skills in Robotics, coding, design, and scientific inquiry. This role supports high-quality enrichment programming for elementary students, fostering creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking in a fun and supportive environment. Duties include, but are not limited to: Delivering engaging STEAM lessons aligned with the provided or self-developed curriculum Managing classroom behavior and promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment Facilitating hands-on, project-based learning activities across STEAM disciplines, including Lego Robotics and Coding Adapting instruction to meet the developmental needs of elementary students Tracking student attendance and progress Collaborating with the Education Director to tailor curriculum to student needs Reinforcing program expectations and building strong relationships with students and families Participating in required staff meetings and professional development sessions Performing other duties as assigned Qualifications: Valid New York State Childhood Education 1-6 Certification required NYS Technology Education K-12, Computer Science K-12 or Visual Arts K-12 College coursework with a focus on Robotics, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Education, or a related field. Experience teaching STEM-related programming to elementary-aged students in a group setting preferred. Experience with LEGO Mindstorms and Robotics preferred.
