Position OverviewThe Elmsford Union Free School District is seeking a qualified and dedicated School Social Worker for the 2026-2027 academic year at Alexander Hamilton Jr/Sr High School. The successful candidate will support students facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges that impact their academic success.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect Student Support: Provide individual and group counseling to students as indicated on Individualized Education Plans (IEP) or through general education referrals.Crisis Intervention: Deliver immediate support for urgent safety or mental health concerns and serve as a member of the District Crisis Response Team.Collaboration: Facilitate communication between the school, families, and community agencies to ensure a cohesive support network for students.Case Management: Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and monitor student progress to address attendance and behavioral issues.Compliance: Maintain accurate and confidential records of all student interactions in accordance with New York State Education Department (NYSED) and district requirements.Required QualificationsEducation: Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited graduate program.Certification: Must hold a valid New York State School Social Worker Certification (Provisional or Permanent).
