Alexander Hamilton is seeking a passionate and dedicated Chorus Teacher for a one-semester leave replacement position, beginning August 28th and concluding on January 23, 2026. We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who can inspire a love of choral music in our students and maintain the high standards of our well-established program.Responsibilities:Direct and instruct multiple choral ensembles across grade levels 7-12.Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that foster vocal technique, music theory, sight-reading skills, and musicality.Select appropriate and diverse repertoire that challenges students while aligning with their abilities and developmental stages.Organize and direct rehearsals, ensuring effective use of time and consistent progress.Prepare students for and conduct performances, including concerts, school events, and potentially community engagements.Collaborate with other members of the music department and school staff.Manage chorus-related administrative tasks, such as attendance, grading, and communication with students and parents.Foster a positive learning environment where all students feel encouraged to participate and grow.
