The Eldred Central School District has an anticipated vacancy for an Elementary Teacher Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of students in accordance with District and/or building goals and objectives.Develops a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and is appropriate to the maturity, ability, and interest of students.Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and, with the District goals and objectives, establishes a clear objective for all lessons, units, and projects.Assesses the individual accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports. Communicates with parents and school personnel on pupil progress and maintains accurate and complete records.Assists the administration in implementing all District policies and/or building procedures governing student life and conduct.Confers with administration, colleagues, students and/or parents as appropriate.Attends departmental, staff meetings and scheduled meetings.Takes necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.Employs a variety of instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting stated objectives.Prepares for classes assigned in advance in a plan book and shows evidence of preparation upon request of the supervisor or principal.Performs other duties as required by the principal and/or District. Appointment:Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent. Anticipated Effective Dates: September 1, 2025
