Position: Food Service DirectorSalary: 70-95k depending on experienceBenefits: -Full medical, dental and vision -403 K retirement plan with a 5% match by employer -11 sick/personal days -3 weeks paid vacation Job DescriptionThe Food Service Director is responsible for overseeing and managing all front and back of the house operations. He works directly with the Chef and Lunchroom coordinator. Job Responsibilities-Supervising chefs, kitchen and cafeteria staff.-Establish and maintain systems and procedures for the ordering, receiving, storing, preparing and serving food related products, as well as menu planning and development.-Direct and oversee operations related to production, distribution and food service.-Ensure that requirements for appropriate sanitation and safety levels in respective areas are met.-Coordinate inspections from the local DOH and maintain all kitchen equipment in proper working order.-Responsible for the fire suppression system inspections as well as the yearly cleaning of the kitchen hood.-Facilitate and maintain required documentation and procedures to operate a school food program, and other activities to ensure a successful food service program in accordance with local and state guidelines and regulations.-Responsible for hiring and training all kitchen staff.- Other responsibilities as needed to ensure the smooth operations of a successful food program. Qualifications-Requires at least 5 years of experience.-Requires at least 3 years of experience in a management role.-Requires at least previous experience in food service.-Strong written and verbal communication skills.
