East Greenbush CSD is accepting applications for a Food Service Helper position at Columbia High School. There are no minimum qualifications required, but some experience as a helper in a restaurant or hotel dining room, or in general domestic work, is desirable. The applicant needs working knowledge of the proper methods of serving food; ability to follow oral and written directions; and good physical condition. The Food Service Helper will assist in the preparation and service of food and in the cleaning of kitchen equipment; clean dining rooms and dish closets; clean, wash, and otherwise prepare vegetables and fruit for cooking; assist in the preparation of salads and desserts; help cooks in any phase of their duties; wash dishes, pots and pans by hand or machine; sweep, mop and clean kitchen; may act as cashier; and does related work as required. This position is 3.25 hours per day/10 months.
