East Greenbush CSD is accepting applications for an Assistant Transportation Supervisor position in our Transportation Department.Minimum qualifications include: Graduation from high school or possession of a GED and four (4) years of experience in the operation of multiple passenger vehicles or the dispatching of motor equipment, supplemented by or including one (1) year of supervisory experience. 19A and SBDI Certification required or must be eligible for 19A and SBDI certification at time of hire. Experience in the maintenance and repair of automotive equipment preferred. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and posses a valid Class B license or higher with P endorsement and an S endorsement, issued by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, at the time of appointment.Applicants need good knowledge of standard transportation methods and the operation of buses; good knowledge of automotive repair methods and of the terminology and tools of the trade; good knowledge of the geography of the district; good knowledge of driving safety practices; working knowledge of the New York State Motor Vehicle Law and applicable regulations of the Public Service Commission; ability to plan and supervise the work of subordinates; ability to keep records and make reports; ability to get along well with others; dependability and good physical condition.
