Edmeston Central School is in search of a Building Principal. Edmeston Central School is a rural PreK-12 district in upstate New York with an enrollment of 370 students. The ideal candidate will be someone who:Has obtained New York State School Building Leader (SBL) certification (or eligible) for building level administration in New York State.Is knowledgeable in the areas of curriculum development, instructional programming and supervision of staff.Is active in the school and school community. Attends after school activities and programs.Develops and administers school programs aligned to district goals.Promotes a positive school environment that is student centered. Proactive leader who is committed to continuous improvement. Develop and implement instructional programs and teaching practices.Ensures effective communication with students, parents, and staff.Supervises and evaluates teaching staff and other building staff in accordance with school district protocols.Works collaboratively with other Department Heads to maintain a safe school environment. Able to address student disciplinary issues in a timely and just fashion aligned with the School Code of Conduct.
