Substitute Teachers - Middle and High SchoolEdgemont Jr/Sr High School (grades 7-12) are seeking Substitute Teachers for the 2022-23 school year. Four-year college degree preferred. NYS teaching certification preferred but not required. Graduate students are encouraged to apply. Ideally, we are seeking applicants who are available and desire to work every day to fill day-to-day absences. Experience working with children in a classroom or comparable setting required. Effective classroom management skills are necessary. Prerequisite: NYSED fingerprint clearance required Compensation is $100/day for the first ten days; $125/day thereafter for NYS certified teachers and $100/day for non-certified teachers. No benefits. Non-certified substitute teachers are able to work up to 40 days per school year.
