Assistant Superintendent for Finance and FacilitiesDistrict-Wide ProbationaryThe Eastchester UFSD is seeking an experienced, highly knowledgeable leader to serve as the Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Facilities. Reporting directly to the Superintendent of Schools, this Cabinet-level administrator collaborates closely with district and building leaders to ensure the effective stewardship of the district’s financial resources and physical infrastructure. The successful candidate will demonstrate impeccable integrity, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and a comprehensive command of all aspects of school district finance and facilities management. Candidates must also possess deep expertise in budgeting, financial planning, and the capital construction and operations functions that support safe, modern, and well-maintained school facilities.Responsibilities:Works as a member of a collaborative senior executive team to create a high functioning leadership system that promotes success for each student and attainment of district goals;Stays abreast of research on the changing nature of the profession, the field of public financial, organizational, and business management, and changing national, regional and local trends that may impact program areas;Uses forecasting tools and strategies to forecast resource requirements and to predict future needs;Provides leadership in long-range financial planning to include development of local option levy or bond initiatives and strategies;Monitors the budget process to ensure compliance and a positive financial status;Advises the Superintendent and Board of Education on a variety of business, real estate, and financial matters;Compiles data, does research and analysis on specific areas of finance, and presents reports to the Superintendent and the School Board;Reviews and develops internal control procedures, and monitors compliance;Oversees the activities of staff responsible for managing budget execution, cash management and financial accounting to include preparation of periodic and annual financial reports;Provides support with capital planning;Develops and implements contracted service agreements for auditor (via business services), insurance agent of record, food service management, and other agreements in areas of assignment;Monitors and evaluates service agreements for performance, effectiveness, and potential risk.Qualifications:Strong command of budget planning and implementation, purchasing policy and procedures, the audit process, payroll and benefits administration, transportation, facilities maintenance, and food service management;Experience is also required in labor relations;New York State SDBL or SBA Certification required;Master’s Degree and five years of school-based experience required.Employment Terms:12 month, probationary position, beginning July 1, 2026The salary range is $185,000 to $240,000 based upon experience, credentials, and a record of achievements.*Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law §§305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES).
