Special Education Teacher, 7th grade, Leave ReplacementIMMEDIATE VACANCY2023-2024Eastchester Middle SchoolThe Eastchester School District is seeking a dynamic candidate to fill the position of Special Education Teacher assigned to 7th grade. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with diverse learning needs and be able to provide specialized instruction and support in both general education and resource settings. Preference will be given to candidates with certification in science and/or math extension.Requirements:NYS Certification: Special EducationNYSED Fingerprint Clearance*Employment Terms:10 month, full time leave replacement positionSalary range in accordance with the Eastchester Teachers Association (ETA) negotiated salary schedule; per diem 1/200th:$61,265 - $144,847, step placement contingent upon prior related experience. *Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law ยงยง305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES).
