Guidance Counselor, Elementary, Probationary2023-2024 Anne Hutchinson SchoolThe Anne Hutchinson School is seeking a qualified and experienced candidate to fill the probationary vacancy of Guidance Counselor for grades 2-5. The counselor instructs all classes grades 2-5 in Social- Emotional Learning (SEL) using the Second Step curriculum and also provides individual and small group counseling based on student needs. In addition, the elementary school counselor serves as a leader of the school's Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program. Requirements:NYS certification: School CounselorNYSED Fingerprint Clearance*Employment Terms:10 month, probationary positionSalary range in accordance with the Eastchester Teachers Association (ETA) negotiated salary schedule.*Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law ยงยง305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES).
