Come build with us.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:• Full-time, 12-month• Competitive salary; negotiable based on qualifications and experience• Full complement of health and other related benefitsSALARY: $185,000- $195,000QUALIFICATIONS:• New York State certification as a School District Leader (required)• NYS professional teaching certification (required)• Ten years of successful experience in education, including teaching, supervision, and administration• Experience in a district-level leadership role within a BOCES or K–12 public school district preferredREPORTS TO: District SuperintendentLOCATION: Administration BuildingPOSITION OVERVIEW:The Deputy Superintendent is a cabinet-level leader who plays a pivotal role in advancing the Dutchess BOCES Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan. This position ensures that agency operations, programs, and partnerships work cohesively to empower learners, support districts, and sustain innovation across the region.Working closely with the District Superintendent, the Deputy Superintendent provides executive leadership for agency operations, supervises key departments, and serves as the Chief Administrator’s designee when needed.This is an exceptional opportunity for a visionary educational leader who values collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement to join a forward-thinking team dedicated to innovation, partnership, and excellence.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Strategic Leadership-Provide executive oversight for agency departments and initiatives aligned with the BOCES Blueprint for Excellence and Agency Goals.Drive implementation of the agency’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities.Build and sustain strong, relationships with component districts, community organizations, higher education, business, and state agencies.Championing our values of partnership and regional collaboration.Mentor members of the Administrative and Leadership Teams through professional learning, coaching, and collaboration.Model intentional leadership that strengthens the agency’s culture and advances our commitment to growth, equity, and excellence.Evaluate the work of departments, including Communications, Technology, Data Services, Educational Resources, Regional Partnership Center, and Educational Programs.Lead and coordinate the APPR process, evaluator training, and performance reviews.Develop and administration of the agency’s budget, Annual Report and Report Card, ensuring fiscal stewardship, sustainability, and alignment with strategic priorities.Recruitment and hiring new administrative leaders.Lead agency-wide professional development initiatives, Administrative Retreats, and Superintendent’s Conference Days., Act as Test Security Officer, Title IX.CLOSING DATE: please attach cover letter, resume, and apply online.
