Anticipated Vacancy:Adult Education - Part-time EveningsResidential Bartending Instructor SALARY: $28- $30 per hour (depending on experience)LOCATION(S): Adult Learning InstituteDUTIES: The chosen candidate will instruct a 4 session,12 hour course to homeowners with a focus on creating delicious mocktails that can be easily adapted into classic or contemporary cocktails (there will be multiple sessions scheduled throughout the year). The selected candidate will design lesson plans for residential bartending, emphasizing foundational techniques, ingredient knowledge, and drink preparation. They will teach lessons centered on mocktail creation, demonstrating how to build complex flavors and presentations without alcohol. They will provide written recipes to easily convert mocktails into alcoholic cocktails, including the appropriate spirit pairings and measurements that would be used. They will instruct on the use of basic bartending tools and cover topics such as glassware selection, ice management, garnishing techniques and presentation.QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will have 4 or more years of bartending/mixology experience with a high school/GED diploma (associate's degree preferred), however, the right candidates work experience will be taken into consideration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mixology, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for teaching aspiring home bartenders. This role involves developing engaging beverage/recipe plans, demonstrating techniques, and providing hands-on instruction in a dynamic learning environment.GRADE LEVEL: AdultSTARTING DATE: September 1, 2025
