The Dolgeville Central School District, supported by a proud school community and strong reputation, is seeking a dedicated educational leader to serve as the Jr. Sr. High School Principal.Job Title: Jr. Sr. High School PrincipalPosition: Jr. Sr. High School Principal, Grades 7-12Salary: Competitive (experienced candidates are encouraged to apply)Application Deadline: 12/1/22Anticipated Position Start Date: 1/29/23 or earlier if possible.The Jr. Sr. High School Principal is directly responsible for the following duties: Direct supervision of programs, services and facilities of the school.Planning, coordination, implementation and improvement of the educational programs and assessments in collaboration with the district-wide administrative team.The evaluation of faculty and staff members and promoting best practices.Coordination of all building level professional development.Assisting with the orientation and support for all new building personnel as well as new students and parents.Assist with coordinating building and facility usage, both internally and externally.Enforcing all provisions of education law and policies of the Board of Education related to the management of the school including, but not limited to DASA, emergency procedures, and building/district Codes of Conduct.Attending professional meetings and conferences that pertain to the position.Establishment and sustainment of a positive building climate for the students, staff members, parents and school community. Qualifications:· Successful candidates must currently hold NYS certification in SDL, SAS or SBL.· Candidates must have:· A philosophy and practice that place what is best for all students first· A clear educational philosophy including appropriate classroom/student management strategies· Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills· Willingness to be visible in and part of the Dolgeville school community· Ability to collaborate with faculty and administrative team· Thorough understanding of school operations including classroom and behavioral management· Middle and secondary level classroom and/or administration experience· Ability to coordinate building/campus activities· Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction· Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness· Ability to implement District policy and procedures· A vision, patient, an engaged listener, approachable, creative
