The Dobbs Ferry School District seeks a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our High School team. The successful candidate will have experience delivering specially designed instruction to students aged 14-21 with significant developmental disabilities, cognitive delays, and/or autism. This position requires a teacher who can provide an intensive instruction approach and manage a more intensive student/staff ratio. Our program curriculum emphasizes the development of functional academic skills, independent living skills, and prevocational skills. Effective August 28, 2024. This is a full time, probationary/tenure track position.Requirements: NY State Certification: Special Education K-1, Students with Disabilities All Grades, or Students with Disabilities (7-12) required.Compensation: Commensurate with experience and on par with the Dobbs Ferry United Teachers Contract.
