The Dobbs Ferry School District has an immediate vacancy for a School District Clerk. This is a part-time position with annual stipend of $10,000, prorated based on start date. This position involves the performance of duties as mandated by Section 2121 of the State Education Law, and primarily involves a variety of clerical, financial record-keeping, and administrative duties in connection with the School District and Board of Education's business activities. Duties include: Prepares Agendas for Board of Education MeetingsAttends all Board of Education Meetings; takes and transcribes minutes of these meetingsMaintains and updates Board of Education Policy ManualEnsure that all Board agendas, minutes, and policies are posted on the WebsiteHandles correspondence as directed by the Board of EducationCommunicates with School District Attorneys as directedCertifies all Tax and Bond Anticipation Notes when requiredMaintains all District Clerk FilesMaintains voter registration recordsPrepares Special Votes/ReferendumsMaintains Impartial Hearing Officers listAnnual Duties of District Clerk *Voter Registration/Absentee BallotsAnnual Budget Vote and preparationRegistration Book inspectionCoordinate Election InspectorsReceive Election Petitions for TrusteesAnnual School Budget Vote (6 a.m. – 10 p.m.)*The above Annual Duties require a minimum of approximately 40 hours per yearQualifications/Requirements: Graduation from high school or equivalent and five years of responsible clerical experience involving independence of action and public contact; or graduation from an Administrative Assistant program and four years of responsible clerical experience involving independence of action and public contact; or any satisfactory equivalent combination of the foregoing training and experience.Apply via OLAS by February 28, 2023.
