The Dobbs Ferry School District is seeking a District Clerk, effective January 1, 2023. This is a part-time position with annual stipend of $10,000. This position involves the performance of duties as mandated by Section 2121 of the State Education Law, and primarily involves a variety of clerical, financial record-keeping, and administrative duties in connection with the School District and Board of Education's business activities. Duties include: Assists in the preparation of Board of Education Meeting calendar Prepares Agendas for Board of Education Meetings Attends all Board of Education Meetings; takes and transcribes minutes of these meetings Purchases refreshments/food for special sessions when required Maintains Board Meeting Minutes, records and files Maintains and updates Board of Education Policy Manual Ensure that all Board agendas, minutes, and policies are posted on the Website Handles correspondence as directed by the Board of Education Communicates with School District Attorneys as directed Certifies all Tax and Bond Anticipation Notes when required Maintains all District Clerk Files Maintains voter registration records Prepares Special Votes/Referendums Maintains Impartial Hearing Officers list Enters all Impartial Hearing Information into the NYSED DatabaseAnnual Duties of District Clerk * Voter Registration/Absentee Ballots Annual Budget Vote and preparation Registration Book inspection Coordinate Election Inspectors Receive Election Petitions for Trustees Annual School Budget Vote (6 a.m. – 10 p.m.)*The above Annual Duties require a minimum of approximately 40 hours per yearQualifications/Requirements: Graduation from high school or equivalent and five years of responsible clerical experience involving independence of action and public contact; or graduation from an Administrative Assistant program and four years of responsible clerical experience involving independence of action and public contact; or any satisfactory equivalent combination of the foregoing training and experience.
