TITLE:Coordinator of Alternative Education LOCATION:BOCES wide REPORTS:Director of Career & Technical education TERMS:Full Time (10 month, 14 day calendar) QUALIFICATIONS:New York State Certification required (teacher, school counselor, school social worker, school psychologist). Degree in Social work, School Counseling, Psychology or Related field. Experience working with children and youth; experience in alternative education. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:The Coordinator of Alternative Education will provide support to students, teachers and staff at their assigned campus. The Coordinator will collaborate with building level administration at each campus. The Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating program activities including student intake, communication with component district personnel as well as providing professional development.
