Located at our main campus in Red Hook, Dutchess County, NY, this position develops and revises physical educational and health curriculum to meet the physical, emotional, creative, and educational needs of assigned students by preparing course outlines and lesson plans as required by guideline policies. They will establish a safe environment conducive to maximum academic and social learning by maintaining order and guiding students to socially appropriate behavior. The PE Teacher supervises students during school-related activities (class trips, extracurricular activities, meals, etc.) as assigned. Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
