POSITION: PRINCIPAL FOR STUDENT SUPPORTProbationary Full Time PositionJOB GOAL: To promote the educational development of each student in a positive, supportive climate and environment.QUALIFICATIONS: New York State certification and or eligible to be certified as School Building Administrator (SBA) and or; School District Administrator (SDA). At least five years teaching experience at the secondary level; Background/experience in school administration preferred but not required ; Other alternatives as may be deemed appropriate.Works with a growth mindset that results in a future driven approach to leading. Has a whole learner focus that results in no person being marginalized.Specific Responsibilities:Coordinate counseling, and wellness services to support all students and their families and staff. Leads district wide wellness committee to develop activities and programs that support both student and staff wellness.Works with staff to coordinate MTSS within middle and high schools.Coordinates FLEX Program Conduct classroom observations.Responds to student discipline referrals for grades 8-9-10 and completes appropriate follow-up with students, parents and teachers. Maintains high standards of student conduct and enforces discipline as necessary, according due process to the rights of students.Works cooperatively with other administrators to address building and district-wide issues.
