POSITION: Media Teacher QUALIFICATIONS: Possess a NYS teacher certification in a 7-12 or K-12 subject area, or hold a CTE certification or hold or be eligible for a transitional certification in subject areas appropriate for this position. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: The following are examples of typical duties association with the position; but the list is not all inclusive, and other duties appropriate to the position may also be assigned. Understanding of tools used in the media fields, online video production Experience teaching digital and video production, editing,cinematography techniques, photography, editing, graphic design and visual communication strategies. Proficient with both iOS and Windows platforms. Experience with web based content management systems, video optimization and archival techniques. Demonstrated skills with video, film, music recording and media Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, as well as similar editing and design programs such as iMovie, Garage Band. Ability to work with students on how to properly use digital media equipment and tools. Knowledge of current camera and audio equipment as well as editing programs. Digital Animation and Graphic Design skills.
