The Central Islip School District is seeking a candidate for Director of Physical Education, Health, Athletics, Health Services. Responsibilities include: -Planning, implementation, supervision and evaluation of the interscholastic athletic program, physical education program, health education program and health services program. -Interscholastic athletic supervision which includes all aspects of a comprehensive and competitive athletics program to ensure student safety and compliance with relevant rules and regulations. -Physical Education and Health supervision which includes overseeing K-12 curriculum, instruction and assessment. -Health Services supervision which includes implementing strategies and safeguards to protect, promote and manage the health and safety of students and staff, prevent and address student health concerns, prevent illness and injury while complying with NYSED rules and requirements. -Build and maintain a high level of excellence in all programs. -Manage the budget in all programs. -Work cooperatively with school leadership, community groups and all relevant stakeholders. -Ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents, and students.
