Qualifications Successful candidates must possess:Valid NYS Administrative Certification (SBL or SAS)Five years’ teaching experience and proven record of leadershipExtensive knowledge of New York State Learning Standards, effective instructional practices, and student assessmentDemonstrated ability to effectively analyze standardized and local assessment data and use it to drive instructional practice, decision-making and goal settingStrong interpersonal and communication skillsResponsibilities:Provide effective instructional leadership, guiding and supporting all staff to meet individual and collective goalsCreate and maintain an environment that fosters mutual respect among all stakeholdersDesign and deliver a building level strategic plan that supports student needs and is aligned with district goalsCommunicate effectively with all stakeholders, verbally and in writing, including creating successful partnerships with students’ familiesSupport professional development initiatives to ensure best practices are implemented in all classroomsObserve and evaluate faculty and staff.
