KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate and implement the goals outlined in the District’s Vision Map that foster high-quality teaching and learningCollaborate with the Assistant Superintendent to design, develop, and deliver high-quality professional learning for all instructional and non-instructional staff in the District to enhance practices and foster innovationdevelop curricula around the New York State Computer Science and Digital Fluency Learning Standards regularly work with District coaches to plan and implement instructional technology in all classroomsEnsure that all educators have access to the appropriate tools to develop future-focused curriculum, instruction, assessment, learning environments, and professional learningFacilitate the procurement, integration, coordination, operation, installation, and maintenance of district software, hardware, email, internet, intranet, training, copier leasing, inventory management, and phone support for all technologies in all sectors of the DistrictDevelop and implement a strategic vision for the use of technology in the District in both the academic and infrastructural systems. Reflect this vision in the District Technology PlanEnsure compliance with the NIST Framework to provide the most current cybersecurity practicesOversee the management and utilization of data to inform instruction as the District’s Chief Information Officer (CIO)Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Technology Department, including IT support staff, district data team, tech/communications specialistObserve and evaluate instructional and non-instructional staff as assignedNegotiate software vendor contracts to comply with NYS Law as the Data Protection Officer (DPO)Develop and oversee the District technology budget including various funding sources such as E-Rate Universal Service Program
