The Croton-Harmon School District, a future-driven school system currently embarking on a transformational re-envisioning of its athletic complex, is seeking a visionary leader to be the Director of Health, Wellness, Physical Education and Athletics The successful applicant will possess the following New York State certifications: School District Leader (SDL) K-12 Physical EducationCertified Athletic Administrator (CAA) preferred The ideal candidate is a transformational leader; they will center their role as Director on the development of character by building a culture where winning is not the focus but rather a byproduct of the skills athletes develop to reach their full potential on and off the field. Candidates should have successful experience in personnel supervision, mentoring and evaluation, as well as program management, budget development and the planning of professional development. Candidates must have the proven ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with district personnel and community groups to study, plan, implement and evaluate all aspects of the District’s wellness, physical education, health and interscholastic athletic programs. They must also possess a thorough understanding of all state regulations and requisites for all programs under their direction.They will work with all constituencies to create a vision for how the District’s Strategic Plan can be realized in all of the position’s assigned areas.
