The Croton-Harmon School District has an anticipated opening for a Leave Replacement English as a Second Language teacher in the Pierre Van Cortlandt Middle School in the upcoming 2026-2027 school year starting in September. NYS certification in English to Speakers of Other Languages required. The successful candidate will be able to: Utilize school and district resources such as instructional/pedagogical coaching to create engaging, future-focused lessons, units, and assessments. Commit to ongoing professional learning and develop and adjust curriculum on an ongoing basis to meet students’ needs and interests. Stay current on best and burgeoning pedagogical and curricular practices. Commit to our district’s Vision Map that centers on reimagining learning, pursuit of passion, and building a culture of wellness in a future-focused system in an effort to develop “What School Can Be.” Plan collaboratively with colleagues and be open to sharing and learning with and from others. Create a personalized learning environment for students that meets individual needs and challenges students to reach their full potential. Have the ability to self-evaluate, be reflective and problem solve.
