The Croton-Harmon School District has an anticipated probationary opening for a Music Teacher for the upcoming 2023-24 school year. NYS certification as a music teacher is required. Additionally, the ideal candidate will:Demonstrate an ability to strengthen students’ technique on stringed instruments and further develop their musicianship through our Orchestral Program.Display proficiency on guitar and ukulele and possess an interest in fostering performance within a Middle School General Music Program.Empower students to pursue purposeful, courageous exploration of their interests and passions.Understand the power of music to deepen students’ understanding of the world's history and its diverse cultures.Be a collaborative colleague who understands music’s ability to illuminate academic content throughout the school.Possess a growth mindset which continually seeks new and innovative opportunities for students.Exhibit an energetic, dynamic personality which clearly indicates love of music and children.
