LOCATION: Career & Technical Education – Adult Education Program (locations will vary)SCHEDULE: Flexible AM/PM schedule @ 2 days per week (6 Hours Total)BASIC FUNCTION: To instruct adults in general high school equivalency diploma preparation. Support overall program effectiveness following National and NYS Recording Systems, as defined by NYSED.QUALIFICATIONS:1. NYS Teacher Certification2. Working knowledge and understanding of the ASISTS Data Management System is preferred. 3. Experience working with youths and adults in alternative school settings desirable.RESPONSIBILITIES:1. To instruct adults (16 years and older) in high school equivalency preparation within a classroom setting. 2. Implement consistent data collection procedures, check data accuracy, establish follow-up strategies, and follow assessment procedures.3. Support student creation of short- and long-term goals as required by NYSED.4. Record student achievements over multiple years.
