Assist Classroom teacher in all aspects of programming and care to studentsESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist the classroom teacher in all daily routines and instructional times including specials, arrivals and dismissal timesResponsible for assisting a substitute and/or carrying out the daily plans and routines left by the classroom teacher in their absenceAssist in the handling of classroom paperwork such as taking attendance, logs and assist in recording as required and supervised by the teacher, including needed student anecdotal notations, file student records and class informationAct as a positive role model for the students by promoting a culture consistent with PBIS and school wide missions and valuesUtilize each student's individual assistive technology and/or adaptive equipment as described by the interdisciplinary teamAssist in the implementation of services in accordance with the student's individualized education plan. including but not limited to accommodations, modifications, individual goals and behavior plans as described by the student's interdisciplinary teamAssist and promote independence for students in personal care needs, including but not limited to: feeding, toileting, dressing and washingBe able to work cooperatively as a member of the interdisciplinary team and help provide positive team building, such as team meetings, staff conferences and any meetings requested by the classroom teacher and/or school administrators.Assists in following all cleaning and disinfecting policies throughout the school day and at the end of the day, including washing dishes, laundry, cleaning surfaces and materialsMy be temporarily assigned to assist in another classroom at the discretion of the Principal or designee.Wage is dependent on Teaching Assistant Certification and level. Certification is not required.
