CARLE PLACE UFSDCarle Place, New York 11514-1788PLEASE POST POSITION AVAILABLE:ANTICIPATED OPENINGSupervising Groundskeeper, FULL-TIME LOCATION: Carle Place UFSD START: November 18, 2024 HOURS: 7:00am to 4:00pm SALARY: Contractual General Statement of Duties:General landscaping and maintenance of 30-acre campus.Mow, roll, aerate and re-seed lawns, irrigate and care for trees, shrubs and flowers. Sweep and striping parking lots, snow removal, maintenance of turf and grass athletic fields, recreation areas and playgrounds. Set-up/break down athletic fields for competitions and events as required. Participation in miscellaneous jobs inside buildings during the winter months and inclement weather as directed. Knowledge of accepted procedures and practices of grounds maintenance work. Willingness to perform manual tasks required. Typical Duties, include but not limited to:Supervises and participates in the care of lawns, shrubbery and trees.Supervises and participates in the maintenance of baseball diamonds, basketball and tennis courts and other recreation areas.Operates a variety of grounds maintenance equipment.Requisitions supplies and equipment and may make budgetary recommendations pertaining to groundskeeping projects.Performs a wide variety of related groundskeeping tasks as required.Keeps records and makes reports on activities. Minimum Qualifications:Training and ExperienceThree years of experience in grounds maintenance activities.Clean driving record.
